Zitate des Tages 1

Nabend!
Ich habe mir überlegt, immer dann, wenn sich bei mir einige gute Zitate von bekannten oder weniger bekannten Leuten gesammelt haben, die mir gefallen, diese hier aufzuschreiben.
Heute fange ich damit mal an.

1.: Von Terry Pratchett, aus seinem Buch "Nation" (gefunden im Astrodicticum Simplex):

"'Why did the wave spare you? Why did it spare me? Why did it spare that baby which will die soon enough? Why does it rain? How many stars are in the sky? We cannot know these things! Just be thankful that the gods spared your life!' shouted the old man.


'I will not! To thank them for my life means I thank them for the deaths. I want to find reasons. I want to understand the reasons! But I can't because there are no reasons. Things happen or do not happen, and that is all there is!'

2.: Aus dem Facebook-Status einer Bekannten von mir, die ich vom Kart fahren kenne:

"Racing is something that most people will never understand. It's not just a sport or something to do on Saturday night. It's a way of life. Once you're in it, it's in your blood. Once you make your first lap you can't stop. The track is home away from home. You smell that race fuel, rubber, and when you hear those engines scream it's music to your ears."

3.: Aus dem Facebook-Status meines Ausschussvorsitzenden vom OLMUN 2011:

Woran merkt man das Hans-Peter Uhl keine Ahnung von Recht hat? Daran: "Es wäre schlimm, wenn zum Schluß unser Staat regiert werden würde von Piraten und Chaoten aus dem Computerclub, es wird regiert von Sicherheitsbeamten, die dem Recht und Gesetz verpflichtet sind." Ich dachhte immer das Volk sei der Souverän und nicht der Überwachungsstaat.
